Francisco J Velazquez , VMD
Dr. Velazquez graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 1987. He has worked at the Middletown Animal Hospital since his graduation, and became a partner in 1993. He is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, New Jersey Veterinary Medical Association, and the Jersey Shore Veterinary Medical Association. Dr.V has a special interest in internal medicine, surgery, and emergency medicine. In his spare time he enjoys playing golf, basketball and motorcycling.
Michael Yurkus , DVM
After graduating undergraduate from Bucknell University in Pennsylvania Dr. Yurkus attended Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine and graduated in 2000. After graduation he practiced small animal medicine for 5 years on the north shore of Massachusetts before moving to Middletown, NJ, where he resides with his wife, 4 children and his Great Dane, Diego. Dr. Yurkus has a special interest in surgery, both orthopedic and soft tissue.
Thomas G Curro , DVM, MS
Dr. Curro graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1989. He completed an anesthesia residency from 1990-1995 at UW-Madison, during which time he also provided clinical service for the anesthesia and exotic species departments. Dr. Curro has had a varied career working in private practice, university, humane shelter, avian speciality, and zoo settings. He is a member of the American Veterinary Association, American Association of Zoo Veterinarians, and the Association of Reptilian and Amphibian Veterinarians. Dr. Curro's interests include exotic pets and animals, in-line skating and video gaming.
Aisha Margolis , DVM
Dr. Margolis was born in New York City and grew up in Berkshire County, Massachusetts. She completed her Bachelor of Science degree at Boston University, and earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Louisiana State University, graduating second in her class. Her professional interests include internal medicine, dermatology and ultrasound. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, New Jersey Veterinary Medical Association, The Jersey Shore Veterinary Medical Association and Feline Practitioners Association. She currently resides in Holmdel, NJ with her husband Luke, daughter Madison, and her four legged children including her two dogs, Sam and Elle and three cats, Mookie, Taylor and Noodle. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, painting, swimming and cooking.
Rene Ferraris VMD
Dr. Ferraris graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 2010. Her professional interests include soft tissue surgery and feline medicine. She loves living in Navesink where she spends her free time trying new restaurants, biking at Sandy Hook, and relaxing with her husband and their four cats, Autumn, October, House, and Sasha.
